When I decided to move to a more rural area with a pond, I always thought that I might have fights with neighbors. I never expected to be fighting with Canadian geese. It got so bad, I Canada geese control to help with the issue. When I tell you I was at my wits end, I was literally at my wits end with the whole thing!
A few years ago, I got myself a home in the country. I found a huge farm and it had everything that I wanted! It was rollings hills, wild flowers, just everything that I could have wanted. The part of the land that I was the most excited for was the pond. I had no idea how many problems I would have with the pond. When I first saw the pond, there was a few ducks and geese around and I loved that wildlife was a part of the land. It was a selling point for sure!
My first month at the new farm, everything was smooth. I visited the pond every so often and I really enjoyed everything about it. One day, there was a lot more geese there then usual. I was excited thinking “Oh good! I have myself a few new animals at the pond!” I had some duck/geese feed that I had been tossing out and thought I would take some to them. I got down with my bucket and these ducks/geese ran up to me. I was so happy and excited that the animals were running toward me.
The excitement ended when the geese started running toward me and chasing me. I ran up to the house and called a control company to see what my options were. They were telling me that they do geese removal for the more aggressive geese. I told them to come as fast as they could! They were at my home in an hour gathering geese. I did ask what would happen to them, I wanted them to be safe despite almost attacking me! They said they had a large pond that they are taken too with plenty of food and land so they don’t get aggressive over food. I was so happy to hear that!
